Upper Partial Dentures

These two partial dentures are for the same mouth. Most of the differences are obvious—the plastic one is bulkier, covering much more of the mouth and not clipping in as tightly, but this may be more appropriate if the remaining teeth are not strong enough. The plastic denture also bears all the load from eating onto the gums, sometimes causing further tissue deterioration. If the remaining natural teeth are healthy, a metal denture—either Cobalt, Chrome, or Titanium—will most likely be the best option, bracing the teeth together to create a strong, ridged, and secure situation. This will protect both teeth and gum tissues long into the future.
